Turin, 1938. Young Ginia has just moved from the countryside and the future seems to offer her endless possibilities. Desperate for adventure, Ginia begins an electric affair with a painter she meets in the dazzling artists world. The woman who leads her into the bohemian quarters is Amelia. Sensual and provocative, Amelia is not much older than Ginia, but different from anyone she has ever met and ready to shake her certainties.
During her “beautiful summer”, Ginia will surrender to her first great love. She will finally give in to her overwhelming feelings, celebrating the courage to be truly herself.

SYNOPSIS: Captain Dalberto quits his job and buys a boat after falling in love with Anaíra. The newlywed couple moves in with Dalberto’s two close brothers. At first, the situation is harmonious, but an inevitable family tragedy unfolds when the three men find themselves completely in love with the same woman.

Sérgio Machado began working in cinema in 1993 when he directed the award-winning short "Troca de Cabeças". Shortly thereafter he began working with director Walter Salles. With Walter’s leadership, he assistant directed "Central Station" and "O Primeiro Dia" and wrote and assistant directed "Behind the Sun". In 1999, he worked as writer and co-director of the series "Night Shepherds" by Globo Network and was the co-writer of the feature film "Madame Satã" by Karim Aïnouz. His first fiction feature film, "Lower City", was released at the Cannes Film Festival and won 30 awards in Brazil and abroad, among them the Youth Award at the Cannes Film Festival. He is currently working with Walter Salles on the feature animation "Noah's Ark", inspired by Vinicius de Moraes' children's poems, set for 2023.
