CERES is Janet van den Brand's first documentary feature film andwill have its world premiere at the Berlinale, in the Generation section. Janet van den Brand is a young, promising Dutch director currently living in Brussels whose films have been selected for numerous film festivals including the Generation Kplus competition at the Berlinale in 2013 and 2018.
CERES is a poetic and tangible documentary film that follows four children as they experience the natural cycle of life on a farm. Each child lives on a remote farm in the southwest of The Netherlands and is learning the profession of their ancestors from a young age. They dream that one day they will take over the farm of their father.
The film is produced by Diplodokus (Belgium), Tangerine Tree (The Netherlands).
